Students, locals and tourists alike can make the transition from the exhibition space and bar setting, onto the main promenade of the market. An afternoon can be spent between the two projects, purchasing goods from the market and relaxing in the urban green zone and exhibition space of De Geleerde Netwerk. De Geleerde Netwerk's curved lines morph into the Markt's more geometric design. Together, at the point of connection, the projects have altered the existing site to encourage pedestrian traffic toward both projects. This blurs the line between public and private space (dock and new developments). As a result, the project(s) will now be seen as more of an extension of the existing dock.
