Interactions

The Food Centrdm will produce, consume and distribute food. It will have certain needs for producing like fertilizer, water, sunlight and therefor also electricity. It will need customers, people, who want to eat at the restaurant and buy products at the market. It will distribute the possible remaining food to area's surrounding the RDM Wharf. Before this can happen, we have to map the production of energy and food to have a balanced exchange of these matters. So with the surrounding projects, and maybe with the whole RDM area, we have to map the production and consumption of energy to be sure it's all evenly balanced or better, to produce energy for the area's surrounding the wharf. This has to be done with the food as well. Certain projects will need food for their activities and some will produce food (or beer), so the food production, consumption and distribution needs to be mapped.

Hydro^3

This Hydro^3-project could supply purified water for irrigation.

Brewery

The Brewery could provide beers for the Food Centre restaurant and maybe we could supply each other with ingredients, food, fertilizer, etc.

SEPAC

The nearby Exposition and Performative Arts Center: SEPAC could need a food supply from the Food Centre.

Transport HUB @ RDM

The Food Center will need a good connection with the whole RDM wharf and that's where Transport Hub @ RDM could help.

Continuality

The nearby project Continuality could be imported for a connection with the pier.

The fifth sesaon

The Fith Season could also be a good partner in exchanging people and food.

Building Connections

DOK Kaffee

The DOK Kaffee could be a competition as a restaurant but also a potential client as an activity in need of a constant supply of fresh vegetables for example.

Harbour building on the east side of the building

This building has a connection with the Food Centrdm because of it's proximity. It's future activity is unknown but will eventually have interaction with this project.

People Connections

Habitant of the neihborhood nearby.

This Women had some complaints about the lack of shopping possibilities in the neighborhood. The Food Centrdm could be nice place to buy fresh vegetables and lettuce.

RDM student

The nearby RDM-Campus has many students that are potential customers. The students could swing by for a fast lunch or buy their ingredients for dinner that evening.

Object Connections

The only green part of the wharf

The Food Centrdm could be an extension of green of this piece of land. For now, the building has been drawn floating freely in the harbour, but maybe a connection with the shore is needed, so this could be a nice place to do this.

Sunlight

The Food Centrdm will need electricity and will use the sun as main energy source. The building has to be shaped, or will move, or adjust it's facade, to the position of the sun.

The pier

This pier is, with it's proximity, an important object to interact with. It could be a nice supply route, but will also be an attractor of people.
