Students and starters are the main clients of OpenHouse. The main interaction in this project is between the users and the cushion-structure. When movement is being measured, local inflated cushions will deflate to create space. Hereby spaces will be created by the unique needs of future residents. They can share, open, and close their space whenever they want. Rather than paying per month, the residents pay per second and their preferable conditions. In this way the tenants' will become more aware about the amount of energy space they use & reserve, which could aid a more sustainable way of living.

RDM-campus has a lot of potential tenants for OpenHouse. Also, generated heat in the ETFE cushions can be exchanged between the RDM building. Financially the pricing of the OpenHouse performance can be adaptive to activities such as workshops in the RDM-campus. Also, existing buildings could engage the potential starters to start their own company in the area.

OpenHouse - projects

HYDRO^3 can function as a powersupplier for OpenHouse when there are peaks in energyneed. The other way around, will OpenHouse deliver all the "black water" for the Algues to grow. Hereby the aim is to close the energetic loop.

Veni Vidi, the hotel, will be connected to OpenHouse in order to share semi-private spaces. Extra heat that has to be harvested can also be stored in Veni Vidi, so the energy does not get wasted.
