Project 29 Endless loop.jpg

The Idea of the infinite loop generates an endless landscape that allows a constant movement throw the park. While the botton part seams to be very tense the building structure loosens up towards the top. The overlapping of the ribbons create 3-dimensional landscape reminding of hills and cliffs and create a great combination of public and private spaces.

The strongest intuition and impulsive decision when seeing the site revolves around the idea of interaction and clashing of the three main elements which constitutes a river shore; Water, Land, and Air. This clash of the three elements together create this huge potential for different species to thrive. The project's styling revolves around the interplay of the three elements.

Land on water

Land on air

Air on water

Air on Land

Water on Air

Water on Land

All this creates a huge potential to explore the visual illusions of certain combinations.

Tension cables reducing the visual affects of structural members. Should the volumes of elements be encapsulated and contained in a way which seem not contained? Should the strong metaphor of the lotus also show in the styling process? Could morphogenesis have the key for the styling of this particular project? How will the styling of the neighboring projects affect the design?
