Over time the nature of the sex industry has changed, becoming an extension of the criminal scene, where women have to sell their bodies for men dominating them (so called loverboys), and becoming couriers for drugs and other illegal substances.
These changes in the character of the sex industry have posed our society with a difficult moral dilemma. Do we make prostitution illegal finishing the job started by criminal elements and pushing the women who work in this profession into a dangerous, uncontrollable atmosphere. Or do we take a pro-active stand, and offer these women some chance to improve their standard of living.
