The new position of the Babel Tower was determined by several factors. Mainly seen as an icon due to its height and symbolism it aims to be visible and to connect with the movement of people. Thus forming an artificial island, which will function as a public park, next to the transport hub and the wave phenomena will enable a closer interaction of the visitors, either visual or physical. One important factor that will define the interactions is that the landscaped surface needs to be surrounded with water, so no direct, physical connection will be established to the land or pier. Movement will happen mainly by boat or through other projects.

A second important factor about the position of the tower is the connection with other projects forming interactions that do not focus on the obvious, physical connection but more on the conceptual and architectural advancement. These interactions either supplement each other or add something to the substance of the project.
